In 2016, 1.2 migrants sought asylum in the EU. 50% of adult exiled migrants into Germany experience some type of mental illness. For 20% of those adults that mental illness is PTSD. In a Dutch study, only 9% of asylum seekers sought treatment from a mental health institution.
