To see one must stop the world

Serie de procesos mentales y emocionales que surgen al ver, habitar y ser en la ciudad. Son las asociaciones que hago en el todo-ciudad cuando la recorro y observo con cuidado. Como dice Carlos Castañeda, “To see one must stop the world”. Hay un árbol que después se volvió muchos y ahora son todos los que mi cuerpo percibe. Los árboles en Bogotá merecen ser: hablan de la resistencia, del paso del tiempo y de lo aparente porque viven más allá del tiempo, de las angustias y del dolor. El detenerse y mirar el mundo contiene nuestro futuro.

Series of mental and emotional processes that arise when looking, inhabiting and being in the city. These are the associations I make in the everything-city when I travel and observe it with care. As Carlos Casteñda says, “To see one must stop the world”. There is a tree that later became many and now they are all that my body perceives. Trees in Bogotá must be: they talk about resistance, of the passing of time and the apparent because they live beyond time, anxieties and pain. To stop and look the world contains our future.
